DUSTIN BOWERS
Founder & CEO
Dustin Bowers, Founder of PLAEX™ Building Systems, began developing this innovative new product in 2017 in an attempt to find a solution to the insane amount of waste he saw in the building industry. With over 20 years of experience in many areas of the building process, from foundation to finish, Dustin has developed a patent-pending modular construction block building system that is zero-waste, no-cut, reusable, and is almost exclusively made of recycled waste materials.
Matt Durnnian
Chief Administrative Officer
Matthew Durnnian holds a degree in Commerce from Mount Allison University and has experience working as a consultant to multiple businesses across different industries, from designing and executing product launches to advising on capital financing campaigns.
Having a passion for environmental protection and renewable design, Matthew has previously worked with the Belleisle Watershed Coalition as well as the Nature Conservancy of Canada where he was exposed to the dire need to protect our wildlife and preserve their habitats by reducing waste through innovation. Knowing the financial barriers to achieving this, Matthew now ensures that PLAEX™ is on track to breach those barriers and deliver on their goals.
Martin Redeker
VP Of Technology Development
Martin A Redeker is a results driven leader with over 40 years of experience in construction, business management renewable energy and passion for sustainable practices with natural resources. He spent all but the past four years of his career as an entrepreneur. He is responsible for developing over 25 patents to beneficially reclaim or extend the life of waste. His passion to be a better steward for our environment is what has him excited to be a part of the PLAEX™ team.
Russell McPherson
Chief Financial Officer
Russell’s journey has been guided by a love for learning and a drive to create meaningful change. With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from Queen’s University, he spent over 25 years as a Certified Management Accountant, building experience with companies of all sizes—startups, large corporations, private firms, and public organizations. He recently completed a successful exit from Gear re-Store, Inc., an international business he founded in 2015 that was recognised by The Toronto Globe and Mail as one of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies for four consecutive years. That experience ignited a hidden entrepreneurial fire which he looks forward to bringing to PLAEX™!
Steven Doiron
Human Resource Manager /Content Creation
Steven Doiron holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in E-Commerce, as well as a two-year accounting certificate from New Brunswick Community College. His time with the Federal Government of Canada has given him experience as a team leader, as well as being a staffing lead for multiple contact centers across New Brunswick. He is also passionate about film and video and has been a practicing filmmaker/videographer for over 15 years. Now with PLAEX™, he is excited to use his staffing and HR experience to help the company grow and uses his skills in film and video to show off the impressive and innovative PLAEX™ products.
Misgharou Ghoueizi
Mechatronics Eng.
Misgharou holds a degree in electromechanical engineering and a Master's in applied science specializing in industrial automation and robotics. His career has seen him work as both an electromechanical engineer and a research assistant. He has is driven to be involved in automation projects that truly inspire. He is passionate about how automation enhances safety, simplifies tasks, and improves productivity and product quality. “It's not just about efficiency—it's about transforming industries for the better and creating safer workplaces” Currently at PLAEX™️ Building System Inc., Misgharou manages systems automation and design, aiming to simplify and secure complex tasks using his automation skills.
Nágila Almeida
Architectural Designer
Nágila holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade Paulista located in Campinas, Brazil. After relocating to New Brunswick in 2021, Nágila participated in PRUDE Inc.’s Newcomer Women Leadership Program and also the Skills Launch program by the YMCA of Greater Saint John. It was through these programs that she was able to connect with PLAEX™. Her extensive knowledge and experience in architectural design make her an excellent addition to the team.
Rish McGlynn

An avid environmentalist and nature lover with a mild obsession with wild foraging, Rish is a mother and past business owner with a very extensive resume. From organic gardener, to prep cook, barista and server to construction labourer and sawyer/dogger, web design and content writer, Rish saw an opportunity to join a great team working to do great things.
